Eco Council

Hi, we are Al Rabeeh School’s Eco-Council and we care about the environment. We work together to make the school, community and world more ‘Eco Friendly’ and a better place. We promote our values and our code with the rest of the school and meet regularly with our teachers to organise fun themed days to raise awareness about looking after the environment.

Our Eco-Code is:

• We look after animals.
• We look after our plants.
• We save electricity by turning off the lights when we leave and turning off the power.
• We save water by turning off the taps when we are finished.
• We save paper by reusing and recycling.

We have introduced the Simply Bottle Initiative in our school, where we can all bring our plastic water bottles into school to be recycled. They use the bottles, to turn into thread and then into clothes! We are so happy that we are helping to make a difference, to protect our beaches, deserts and oceans.
